Compliance Specialist with fluent Portuguese

This role is a subject matter expert working in the business risk environment in South-America and across Procurement globally in accordance with company compliance, business conduct and SOX requirement. These requirements are supported by strong Procurement procedures which are documented in the Global Procurement Procedures Manual and supporting SOPs and the Financial Handbook.


The primary responsibility is to efficiently work in the overall procurement and transportation risk environment including but not limited to:

  • Work in line with compliance strategy as per company values and Global Procurement objectives.
  • Show profound understanding of Procurement procedures and apply it during daily activities
  • Create and review procedural exception business cases developed to ensure risk is appropriately managed.
  • Ownership of compliance procedures, elaboration of new processes if needed
  • Identification of gaps and opportunities to minimize procurement risk exposure overall.
  • Participate in Procurement compliance projects that help drive toward simplification, globalization, increase of the organizations compliance level, pursue the targeted results with acceptable lead time
  • Coordinate and support Procurement audits
  • Process documentation and documentation of all key work.
  • Develop and maintain a positive working relationship with Procurement.
  • Collect feedback and incorporate these changes back into the compliance related processes
  • Provide strong engagement in a fast changing multi regional / functional environment, through solid connections within the company


  • Bachelor’s degree, preferably in Accounting, Finance, Business, or Supply Chain
  • Good command of Portuguese and English
  • Background in working with processes desirable
  • Minimum overall work experience of 5 years
  • Data analysis – transactional, budgetary, etc.
  • Expert skills in PowerPoint and Excel
  • Working with virtual teams, networking skills
  • Problem solving

  • Agile and Proactive approach
  • Self-starter and individual worker.

  • Deeper understanding of Procurement and Financial Accounting processes
  • Further knowledge of Business Ethics and Compliance
  • Experience with Oracle Application, Think-cell, Visio, SharePoint or Power Pivot
