Tasks
  • As an IT Resilience Specialist you will be part of the I&T Resilience Team which is part of the IT Governance, Risk and Compliance organization
  • I&T Resilience incorporates crisis-, business and IT continuity-, service and disaster recovery management activities to ensure that supply chains are healthy and sustainable
  • The role is contributing to the continuous improvement of GBS’ business- and IT resilience, supports internal business areas service recovery needs, and contributing to the safeguarding of the partner’s information, intellectual property, and assets


Responsibilities:

  • Participating in the development and continuous improvement of the GBS business unit’s Resilience Framework, including crisis-, continuity- and disaster (service) recovery management segments
  • Develop standards and operating procedures to enable the effective management of business continuity, IT continuity and IT recovery operations
  • Verifying the GBS IT’s recovery capabilities and their alignment with both business and IT continuity requirements
  • Verifying the correctness and effectiveness of all the different IT Continuity engagements processes
  • Create strategies, scenarios and plans to reestablish operations from various types of business/IT disruptions
  • Support backup management processes and activities
  • Support the oversee of all continuity and recovery efforts
  • Enhance the common understanding on business- and IT continuity, incident, crisis- and disaster recovery management and backup management
  • Develop appropriate training materials
  • Maintain effective awareness, trainings and workshops
  • Support internal and external audits
  • Verifying the correctness of 3rd party contracts and their alignment with both business and IT continuity requirements
  • Maintain defined tiers if availability and recoverability for systems/applications/tools to support established SLA’s including RTO/RPO
  • Facilitate the creation and the maintenance of disaster recovery plans
  • Ensure that appropriate plans, procedures and all supplemental documentation are available, properly maintained
  • Collaborate with IT staff to oversee and support recovery work efforts
  • Plan, schedule and facilitate regular recovery testing for systems/applications/tools (DR exercises, table top testing, etc.)
  • Understand business areas’ needs and incorporate their requirements into related IT operations
Expectations

Competencies

  • Demonstrated experience with a focus on IT resilience, continuity, information security, risk and compliance
  • In-depth knowledge of the separation and the correlation between business continuity-, IT continuity-, incident-, disaster recovery-, crisis- and backup management
  • Ability to translate strategic level efforts to tactical and micro level actions
  • Demonstrated experience in aligning continuity and recovery efforts
  • Experience with defining recovery and backup strategies, scenarios and plans
  • In-depth working knowledge of IT continuity and other frameworks and best practices, such as NIST CSF, ISO 22301 and ISO 27001
  • Ability to support business impact analysis tasks
  • Experience in integration of risk based and compliance related mindsets
  • Draft clear and concise visualizations of complex processes
  • Experience in shared services environment
  • Familiarity with backup management processes
  • Experience in performing root cause analysis
