Tasks

The customer service analyst works in a multicultural, ever-evolving European environment, supporting Company Partners / Clients and Sales teams in order registration. He is an integral part of a central order management team and has a wide range of responsibilities:

  • The job involves applying knowledge in the field to solve simple or complex problems in procedural terms and conditions as well as finding alternative solutions depending on the case.
  • A minimum requirement is that for recurring cases the Analyst must be able to work independently and with a low degree of management supervision.
  • Depending on the level of experience, the level of complexity of the position may increase and with this increase there may be an increase in scope which involves control and management of metrics and projects as in the case of the role of Champion on Metrics.
  • The ability to understand complex inter-departmental topics as well as channeling all efforts towards finding quick and efficient solutions are critical to the role.
  • At the same time, it is necessary to take measures to ensure the operability of the accounts in the clients 'portfolio by providing documentation regarding the clients' specificities as well as the transfer of knowledge in case of absences or for vacation periods.
  • Internal policies and procedures as well as audit requirements must be followed and applied in all situations; the role requires a strict knowledge and adherence to Company's policies and procedures both globally and locally.
  • The accuracy of the processes as well as of the service tasks within the department must be constantly ensured in the terms and conditions provided by the afferent documentation (processes & procedures).
  • Duties must be performed in a timely manner in accordance with the terms agreed in the process & procedure documentation.
  • Any other duties assigned by the direct or senior manager must also be performed.

  • Applies advanced subject matter knowledge to complex business issues, and is regarded as a subject matter expert.
  • Frequently contributes to the development of new ideas and methods.
  • Works on complex problems/projects where analysis of situations or data requires an in-depth evaluation of multiple factors.
  • Exercises significant independent judgment within broadly defined policies and practices to determine best method for accomplishing work and achieving objectives.
  • Leads and/or provides expertise to functional project teams and may participate in cross-functional initiatives.
  • May provide mentoring and guidance to lower level employees.
  • Acts as an expert providing direction and guidance to process improvements and establishing policies.
  • Frequently represents the organization to external customers/clients.
  • First level university degree or equivalent experience; advanced university degree preferred.
  • Typically 6-10 years of experience in a supply chain function.
  • Experience in more than one supply chain function.
  • Broker's license and/or 6-10years of experience in a customs/global trade function.
