The Power BI Developer will be working within the Reporting and Analytics organization, who is responsible for delivering Power BI Applications, Reports and Dashboards for worldwide business teams to work productively and effectively on.

For this role, we need some with solid knowledge and extended experience in working with Power BI and designing interactive, user-friendly and visually appealing dashboards and reports. The team in which the Report Developer will be working is a professional and dedicated one, fully focused on creating innovative & complex solutions for each of the business needs and having spectacular achievements as result of high intention, sincere effort and skillful execution

• Connecting data sources, importing data, and transforming data for Business intelligence

• Design and develop complex/customized, high quality, scalable and extendable Power BI applications and solutions

• Properly secure the data using row-level security and audience groups

• Ensures the quality of reports is excellent and that they are reliable and can be produced consistently

• Ensure that the solutions developed are documented and necessary knowledge is transferred toward the BI operational owner who ensure the recurrent maintenance of those solutions

• Ensure technical feasibility checks for new projects or report requests create a proposal and give potential timeframes for development activities

• Works in a team of other reporting developers under the guidance of a data architect and a reporting project manager / engagement lead; is expected to work well in this set-up to ensure excellent teamwork is maintained

• Ensures that customer deadlines are met and if these are not realistic informs the project manager upfront what the realistic deadlines are and agrees these with the project manager & customer

• Collaborates with the IT-coordinator / BI Architect regularly, as well as with the project manager to ensure the goals agreed are being reached and the appropriate infrastructure is used

• Provides support on the reports developed by timely responding to end-user requests

• Performs as a report development specialist and can produce reports to meet customers’ requirements, using appropriate technical solutions in the background

• Analyze technologies, technical processes and/or functions, document findings, identify areas for improvement and create specifications and implement

• Provides guidance and leadership to entry level employees

• Impacts team as a project manager on small, low complexity projects

• 5 Years of advanced Power BI experience preferably in an enterprise capacity working with large data sets and multiple users/audiences
• Experience with Microsoft Azure platform and service
• Capable of implementing row-level security on data along with an understanding of application security layer models in Power BI
• Should have an edge over making DAX queries in Power BI desktop. Expert in using advanced-level calculations on the data set.
• Proved experience in UI design
• Analytical thinking for translating data into informative reports and visuals
• Educated to bachelor’s degree level, preferably in the Computer Science or Economic field
• Experience in other development environments is a plus. (SQL Server, SSRS, SSIS, Phyton and -ETL concepts, SharePoint, C#, .NET Framework, QlikView, ASP.NET, VB etc.)
• Strong, proven English language skills – both verbal and written
• Ability to work both independently or in a team and to show initiative
• Ability to work with management
