Tasks
  • Responsible for defining the product category development strategy through assortment selection and promotional policy, and co-responsible for pricing and display strategy
  • Ensures the implementation of objectives for the category by verifying the needs of the specific product category, sourcing trade offers, presenting the development strategy for the product category at Management Meetings, and ongoing execution of the approved strategy, including pricing and promotion strategy
  • Responsible for achieving negotiation objectives (a component of category margin) by preparing and gathering analyses related to the category and supplier, conducting or co-conducting negotiations, and maintaining ongoing contact with suppliers
  • Responsible for monitoring product category performance, level of losses on category products, product availability in distribution centers (DS), and preparing analyses and reports related to supplier settlements
  • Responsible for monitoring assortment and prices in competitor stores and own stores
  • Responsible for creating the Product Card, Promotional Plan, and maintaining telephone and email contact with suppliers
Expectations
  • At this stage, the Employee is responsible for broad product assortments, strategic high-turnover categories (depending on the product category) Collaborates with key suppliers
  • The Employee shares their experiences with others
  • Shares (practical) knowledge In daily tasks, shows initiative and creativity, anticipates the Supervisor's expectations
  • The Employee leads additional projects that impact the company's development as well as the development of the employee's competencies
  • Minimum of 4 years of experience, including 3 years in a similar area of tasks in a Category Manager/CM position
