Azure Migration Engineer

Our partner is the largest ICT employer in Hungary. They provide a wide portfolio of IT and telecommunications services with more than 4500 employees. The company continuously develops its four sites in Hungary and is looking for skilled IT professionals to join its team.
  • As the Cloud Migration Engineer, you will be executing the migration & transformation strategy for our customers as part of an agile migration team, headed by the Migration Architect 
  • Among your main responsibilities you will be performing migrations from On-Premises to Azure and from any Cloud to Azure migrations, utilizing the most efficient tools available
  • You will be also creating relevant documentation, defining migration plans and processes, performing landscape deployments (both manual and automated)
  • Perform various migrations between Clouds or from On-Premises to Cloud based on customers’ requirements and needs, focusing on Azure Create, define & improve processes and plans related to migration
  • Work in an international environment and with customer representatives in the migration team, while serving as the technology expert
  • Collaborate with Internal and External partners
  • Participate in the roadmap implementation and feedback to the product team
  • Directly communicate with end customers to discuss possibilities of migration, transformation and their optimal designs

We are looking for someone with an ambitious spirit who is keen to make a positive impact for our partners. You are a team player and always ready to learn technologies and ready to support enterprises to adopt public cloud. In addition, you ideally bring the following with you:

  • 1 or 2 years of relevant work experience with Azure cloud technologies, with basic certifications (AZ-900, AZ-104)
  • Understanding of Infrastructure as Code (IaC) and automation possibilities (Terraform, ARM templates, Pulumi)
  • General ICT skills (Networking, OS, Storage, Database etc.)
  • Scripting & Coding knowledge (PowerShell, Bash, Python)
  • Experience with Agile tooling and processes (Jira, Kanban, Scrum)
  • Understanding of migration concepts and migration tooling (Azure Migrate)
  • Knowledge of PaaS and SaaS cloud services
  • Principals and skills related to DevOps
  • Experience with virtual machine migration
  • Experience with advocating and implementing Cloud Adoption Frameworks
  • Database migration experience (Oracle, MS SQL, no SQL)
  • Containerization knowledge
  • English language (Fluent)
