The Cloud Systems Engineer provides cloud application support throughout the application lifecycle including testing, deployment, operational handover, escalation support.

Tasks
  • Onboard new cloud applications
  • Assist/Perform testing
  • Application Deployment
  • Maintain Deployment Guides
  • Application operational support
  • Maintain operational documentation (runbooks)
  • Application incident management (based on remediation plans)
  • Maintain remediation plans
  • Improve deployment practices
Expectations
  • BS degree in Informatics or related
  • 3+ years of Cloud Application Operation experience on of the major public cloud services platforms preferably Microsoft Azure
  • Cloud application development experience
  • Experience in a multinational IT environment
  • Experience in shared services is preferred
  • Preferably Azure or other major public cloud services certificate in operation and/or development domains
  • Experience with operating complex cloud application stacks
  • Experience with operating cloud applications on one of the major public cloud platforms preferably Azure
  • Track record of delivering applications and cloud-based infrastructure delivery in an agile environment
  • Experience with automated deployment and testing, continuous integration, and release engineering tools
  • Knowledge in various branching/merging methodologies and release procedures
  • Experience with Infrastructure as Code (ARM Templates/Terraform/CloudFormation)
  • Experience with Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment tools (Jenkins, Bamboo, VSTS, TeamCity)
  • Experience with major at least one major programming language (Python, C#)
  • Experience with scripting and automation in a public cloud environment
  • Collaboration with members and managers all other IT organization structures
  • Contribute to preparation, planning, and resource forecasting for engineering and other technical activities relating to a project.
  • Execute change management activities.
  • Experience with application/infrastructure operations and processes associated with IT service management
  • Ability to manage Business Requirements
  • Management of current and future services
  • Fluency in English
