Cyber Security Data Analyst

Introduction



Tasks

Work with a variety of data sources - extracting knowledge and actionable information from massive datasets
Perform extensive data validation/quality assurance analysis
Build proactive data validation automation to catch data integrity issues
Work independently and with partner teams to understand database structures and business processes
Coordinate and communicate with data warehouse teams, balancing requirements to solve business problems, as needed
Build tabular and/or visualization ad-hoc reports
Regularly develop and maintain automated dashboards, metric reports, and data visualizations
Create scripts or tools that can automatically update database records 
Work closely with Service and Product Management peers and managers to support their analysis and data needs
Work closely with Cyber Security Services - Service and Product Management peers and managers to document business processes
Help to identify opportunities to improve data and business processes utilizing Python, HTML, JavaScript, C#, .NET, and Git
Help document data management and governance processes 
Grow to serve as the team’s subject matter expert for advanced analytics and report design
Drive and accountability are crucial to success

Expectations

BA or BS in statistics, math, computer science, information technology, physics, other technical related field; or equivalent experience
Minimum of 3-5 years working experience in technical data analysis, data science, or data warehousing with proven experience in report and tool automation
Strong knowledge and experience working with Python, .NET, JavaScript, HTML, C#, and Git are a must
Strong proficiency in Excel to automate metrics and analysis reports is a must
Strong knowledge and experience utilizing Excel macros is a must
Experience with Microsoft SharePoint, Microsoft Office 2013, and Office 365 products
Familiarity with Archer, Jira, Confluence, and ServiceNow
Experience writing TSQL, views, stored procedures, functions and triggers
Experience with SQL Server
General understanding of the software delivery lifecycle (SDLC) and agile methodologies
General understanding of SIEM product features
Flexible and collaborative teammate
Passion for automation and data analysis
Ability to deep dive into and help solve complex data- centered problems
Ability to prioritize work and deliver on time against project deadlines
Critical thinker
Detail oriented with an analytical mindset
