Tasks

A Snapshot of Your Day


  • Our department is focusing mainly on the Instrumentation and Control system modernization of existing power plants.
  • Together with our controls experts you will contribute in our projects with your Cyber Security expertise.
  • You will analyze the system to be delivered and create conceptual and detailed designs to deliver a secure system to our customers.
  • During the implementation of such a new control system your on-site contribution may be required.
  • After the project is technically finished you will make sure that all the documentation is updated in your area of responsibility.
  • You will also support our bid team offering solutions that meets state-of-art solutions and the high expectations of our customers.
  • Supporting our own automation control system (SPPA-T3000) development and closely collaborating with our sales & bid manager
  • Preparation of technical specifications and documentation regarding communication and IT security in the projects 
  • Configuration of switches/routers/firewalls under consideration of IT security requirements, commissioning of these as well as ensuring error-free functioning of the network during unit and system tests 
  • Planning and conducting project-specific IT security audits and penetration tests, as well as interpreting or deriving corrective actions 
  • Training for our internal staff and external customers, and support of commissioning (IBS) and after-sales with network problem analysis and troubleshooting 
Expectations
  • University degree or completed training in the field of communications engineering, communications, IT security, Computer Science or similar 
  • Several years of professional experience of or IT security, ideally in the field of large automation or control systems
  • Very good knowledge of LAN/WAN, TCP/IP, switching, routing, VPN and RF technologies as well as IT-Security concepts, standards, and hardening measures 
  • Deep knowledge in configuration of the hardware components related to switching/routing/firewall (Ruggedcom, Checkpoint, Scalance switches and firewalls, etc.) 
  • Willingness for business trips (in total <30% per year)
