Tasks
  • Contribute to the development and improvement of the IT recovery framework
  • Contribute to monitoring the performance and quality of the effectiveness of IT recovery framework
  • Work closely with all GBS IT departments to identify improvement areas and coordinate the alignment with IT strategy
  • Maintain defined tiers if availability and recoverability for systems/applications/tools to support established SLA’s including RTO/RPO
  • Facilitate the creation and the maintenance of disaster recovery plans
  • Ensure that appropriate plans, procedures and all supplemental documentation are available, properly maintained
  • Collaborate with IT staff to oversee and support recovery work efforts
  • Plan, schedule and facilitate regular recovery testing for systems/applications/tools (DR exercises)
  • Contribute to the ongoing awareness and support training sessions to improve and reinforce familiarity with baseline terminologies
  • Develop, populate and improve metrics to benchmark maturity level and present program progress to leadership
  • Validate if deployed solutions meet the needs of GBS IT and its business partners (customers) in terms of resiliency, high availability and recovery in collaboration with relevant IT teams
  • Where gaps identified, oversee and coordinate remediation activities
  • Evaluate whether backup management capabilities are aligned with recovery needs
Expectations
  • Experience in managing recovery efforts within hybrid environment including both on-premises and cloud
  • Experience working in cross-functional teams
  • Ability to influence others
  • Demonstrated experience in disaster recovery management
  • Familiarity with backup management processes
  • Experience in performing root cause analysis
  • Ability to articulate and facilitate recovery efforts
  • Familiarity with continuity and recovery frameworks and best practices such as NIST CSF, ISO 22301 and ISO 27001/2
  • Experience in shared services environment
