Scrum Master

Introduction


Our Partner is seeking an experienced and dedicated Scrum Master/Agile Coach who is directly reporting to the Head of Development. Key objective of your role will be the successful software development hub transformation from the current waterfall approach to an agile way of working, not only taking over the employee trainings as an Agile Coach but also driving and protecting the change as a Scrum Master.


During the transformational time your focus will lie on stepwise introducing agile working methods and helping the teams not only in theory but also in practice. As soon as the agile way of working is established your role will shift towards a gate keeper role, monitoring the impact of change and the team’s discipline to stick to the new way of working, while parallelly protect the teams from distraction from outside.


Tasks


  • Coaching of the Scrum team regarding self-organization and cross-functional cooperation to establish an agile mindset
  • Support the Scrum team in solving constraints and implementing improvement measures
  • Support and training of the organization during the introduction as well as operational launch of Scrum
  • Organization and moderation of Scrum meetings and workshops (Sprint Planning, Reviews, Stand-ups, Retrospectives and Backlog Refinements) of up to five Scrum teams
  • Progress measurement by conducting reviews of recent sprints, incorporating team feedback and preparation of countermeasures
  • Mediation of techniques for an effective introduction of an agile working method, e.g. administration of backlogs
  • Selection and establishment of suitable tools and methods supporting the agile teams while overseeing their proper usage
  • Identification and elimination of structural, procedural and social dysfunctions in the agile teams
  • Agile champion within org–shaping the agile practice within their function e.g., playbook, agile maturity assessment and community facilitation
  • Support in the establishment of a modern management approach according to agile values & principles


Expectations


  • Minimum of 4 years of professional experience in similar roles
  • Experience in agile software development or agile project management such as Kanban, User Stories, Continuous Integration, Continuous Testing, Pairing, Automated Testing, Burndown techniques and/or retrospective
  • International and multi-cultural working experience
  • Excellent English skills (verbal and written), preferably knowledge of another language
  • Scrum Master certification in CSM
  • Excellent communication, mentoring, facilitation, conflict resolution skills and readiness to travel internationally
