Tasks
  • Managing program / portfolio level stakeholder engagement including project prioritisation
  • Builds and maintains motivated teams, making sure there is an iterative plan to work towards
  • manages project assignments and overall staff performance and development of team cohesion and continuous improvement
  • Develop project delivery strategy 
  • Periodically reports progress, performance, SLAs and other parameters of accounts in scope to Group Lead (IT Operation Head)
  • Creates, manages and monitors the agreed SLAs
  • Develops and refines overall project management methods, metrics and reporting standards
  • Manage program level governance, facilitating project prioritisation with stakeholders whilst delivering within a defined scope of resource and budget constraints, and leveraging organisational project governance structures
  • Plans for business unit strategy and comes up with strategic solutions for successful implementation of project initiatives
  • Internally represents the team’s interest and makes sure the delivery teams collaborate, communicate and focus on the pre-defined priorities
  • Manage the delivery teams to support project or idea sponsors in development of project scope, estimations, and business cases
  • Ensure program deliverables are achieved within agreed scope, time, budget and quality
  • Shares lessons learnt and best practices with other customer accounts
  • Ensures the availability and the update of appropriate knowledge base
  • Defines roles and responsibilities clearly for knowledge capturing and sharing Gains understanding of latest technologies
  • Understands performance issues and carry out training planning
  • Recommends upgrades to customer, if necessary
  • Supports and provides guidance to delivery team to achieve personal, team-based and professional goals
  • Monitors the delivery team’s required competencies and enroll for relevant learnings to bridge the gaps in the competencies
  • Manages the performance of the team and identifies opportunities for performance and productivity improvement
  • Sets reasonable, challenging and clear performance goals for direct reports
  • Monitors performance and provides appropriate feedback
  • Plans for any additional resources, if required
  • Facilitates communication and team building activities within the team
  • Reviews shift reports and validates activities carried out in shift
  • Updates knowledge and skills inventory for team members
Expectations
  • Fluent English language knowledge
  • Previous experience in leading large teams; Should have managed large teams of size 80-100+ size in the past
  • Good expertise and experience across managing large programs in IT & Network system Operations.
  • Good knowledge in Telecom domain Architecture (Network Design, Network Operations & Management)
  • Proven capability in contributing to the strategic direction to IT Systems Operations
  • Ability to meet project objectives within designated constraints
  • Experience in project cost budget management tasks
  • Pleasant personality with people-management skills, strong business orientation, analysis and problem-solving skills, and negotiation skills are vital
  • Experience in presenting and articulating right information (status/ metrics/ risks/ mitigations/ issues) to all the relevant stakeholders
  • Good knowledge in telecom Lines of Business such as consumer, enterprise & wholesale
  • Good knowledge in Wire line / Wireless / Data Circuits / IP based networks including legacy as well as next generation networks
  • Exposure to OSS Processes and functions such as Configuration, Service Provisioning, Network Planning, Project Implementation, Service Problem management,


Non-Technical:

  • Excellent communication skills. Proficiency in English is required to liaise with customer & other stakeholders. 
  • Ability to lead, guide and coach project team members in different areas
