Tasks
  • Set overall technical vision to direct, inform and help prioritize the implementation of new capabilities to maximize value within constraints of resource, strategy and compliance
  • Co-create, prioritize and communicate technology roadmaps iteratively.
  • Align the product vision with business and technical partners of all levels including understanding their needs and convincing them of the value of change.
  • Balance & manage technical debt in line with customer value and help deliver our mission and objectives.
  • Promote collaboration between squads and manage technical interdependencies, remove impediments and create an environment for people to excel.
  • Coaching and management of technical chapter leads and key technical persons.
  • Attention to meeting our critical metrics and aligning to group strategy.
Expectations
  • Is a hands-on technologist, passionate about technology, eager to learn new technologies, inspiring your teams and sharing your knowledge.
  • Has ambitions and entrepreneurial outlook about technology and its role in business.
  • Has significant, meaningful experience and domain expertise in one or more of the domains: automation, IT operations, analytics, service management, SRE, AIOps, software development, DevOps.
  • Has a degree in a related field and qualifications such as Azure certification or ability to demonstrate equivalent knowledge.
  • Shows experience understanding customer needs and translating these into designs and architecture for scalable solutions.
  • Demonstrates the ability to influence in servant leadership style and empower others across line management boundaries.
  • Likes making decisions based on imperfect data.
  • Is dedicated to Swiss Re’s agile working model through greater collaboration and breaking down of silos.
  • Has excellent written & verbal communication and strong stakeholder management skills.
  • English proficiency is a must, German is an advantage.
